Is there a dress code for the tournament?

Yes. Appropriate Golf attire is appreciated. No Cutoff shorts allowed.

Can I put together my own team?

YES! It is up to you. You can enter by yourself, a twosome or 4 some.

How is our event handicapped?

Handicaps will be used to determine Net Score. Gross scores will also be recognized.

What if I don't have a current handicap?

If you do not have an official GHIN handicap index your average 18-hole score will be used to determine your handicap.

What is a GHIN number?

USGA GHIN (golf handicap and information network, pronounced “jin”) is a handicapping computational of at least 5 or more 18-hole golf rounds. This service can be provided by the USGA through authorized associations and clubs or other online programs and apps such as Openplay or my scottish golf app.

What is the entry fee for this year's event?

Same as last year…$300. But you will enjoy a much bigger event.

Do I have to play all 3 days of the tournament?

No! You can sign up for one, two or all three days. Your choice. Entry fee is the same.

What is the deadline to register for this year's event?

Registration deadline is July 15th or until we reach 144 players, whichever comes first.

Is there a minimum age requirement to play in the tournament?

NO! As long as they know how to play and have their own set of clubs.

Are there volunteer opportunities again this year?

YES! Please sign up on the website. Children under 16 can accompany parents.

What if I need to cancel before the event?

If after registration you need to cancel, you may do so by July 15th for a full refund. Or if special circumstances, it will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

How are the SFTS Tournament entry fees and housing funded?

They are funded by generous contributions from participants or other generous donors.

Can I make a donation without participating in the tournament?

Yes! Donations by non-players will be used for the SFTS fund. Please do so on the website on the Register page

Are there sponsorship opportunities available?

YES! Businesses and even individuals can sponsor a hole or contest as desired.

What charities will be supported by this year's event?

The ‘Needs Council’ of Fredericksburg, and our W.W.W.
